Before you arrive, we want to share some useful information to make your visit convenient and comfortable. Please don't hesisate to contact us for further information or support regarding hotels, rental-cars, transportation or other requests. We are more then happy to help in order to make your travelling and stay with us a joyfull and stress-free experience.

ARRIVING BY PLANE
After landing, contact ATC and " Request taxi to General Enterprises" They will then provide you with taxi instructions towards the Lima Apron. There is ample parking space available on the ramp close to our facilities, and as a General Enterprises customer you are free to use the designated parking area free of charge*. Please beware: Parking outside these areas could result in an invoice from the airport.
Please leave your aircraft with the Parking Brake ON and chocks at the nosewheel. You can use your own chocks or retrieve a pair from the black box at our office entrance.
If you leave the aircraft with us outside office hours, you can lock the aircraft and deposit the keys in the letter box next to our office entrance on the airside.
*Parking is free for CSAS and GE customers and visitors. Long-term parking after maintenance is free for a period of 14 days after completion of maintenance.
IMPORT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: SAFE RETURN EVENT 2025
Due to limited staffing at ATC please make sure to arrive at EHGG within this timeblock, especially when flying IFR.
10:00-11:30 local time (arrival)
In case you need to fly outside this time block you might need to cancel IFR upon arrival and continue VFR or will need to hold for a longer period of time, so you are strongly adviced to approach within this time frame to ensure IFR clearence.
Exits
Our offices are open during working days between 08:30 and 17:30 local time and can be reached without restrictions directly from airside.
Outside our opening hours you can leave airside through the one-way tourniquet located in the fence on the right side next to our office entrance. Beware: this is one-way only. Once you are through the tourniquet, you can only enter again through the airport authorities office located under the air traffic control tower.
ARRIVING BY CAR
Car parking
Our car park is available free of charge to our customers and visitors. When approaching the gate, you need to enter through the most left hand gate carrying a sign with our logo and use the Call button to gain entrance. Leaving the car park is as easy as driving up to the gate it will open automatically.
Reaching Airside
During our opening hours you have unrestricted access to the platform of Groningen Airport Eelde through our office. High-visibility clothing is mandatory.
If you want to get to your aircraft outside our opening hours, you will need to enter through the airport authorities office, located under the air traffic control tower. Showing your passport and pilot licence may be required.

Rental cars, Taxi and Public transportation
Rental cars can be reserved and unlocked using the App2Drive app (or website) that is available for Android and iPhone. It is recommended to create an account before travelling to us, as it takes some time for App2Drive to verify your documents. You can reach our car parking area through our office exit or through the one-way tourniquet. The beam will open automatically when you want to drive out of our parking area.

There is a bus stop on a 10 minute walking distance from our office entrance with an irregular schedule depending on airline traffic. For more information regarding public transportation in the Netherlands visit their website through this link: ov9292
WHAT TO DO DURING YOUR VISIT
Office and lounge
During opening hours our comfortable waiting lounge is available to you to relax, socialize or get work done.
There is power as well as wi-fi available and we offer hot and cold drinks free of charge. There may be other customers present in the lounge during your visit.
When you need a private office or space during your stay with us, please contact us beforehand.
Hotels and restaurants
The old town of Groningen offers a variety of excellent hotel and dining options.
The nearby village of Paterswolde has a beautifull lake with lots of restaurants to enjoy lunch or diner or even rent a small electric boat.
We highly recommend "The Market Hotel" in Groningen if you want to stay at the City Centre of Groningen. If you prefer to stay closeby the airport in the village of Patersolde then "Familiehotel Paterswolde" would be the preferred choice.
Ask our receptionist or contact us beforehand to get recommendations or assistance with booking.
